Turnkey product development for medical devices

ALEVA develops complete ultrasound and medical imaging products for OEM partners — taking a concept through industrial design, electronics, system architecture, FPGA beamforming and imaging software to a validated, manufacturable design.

We are the engineering team behind other companies' products.

Every product we help build ends up in someone’s hands — at someone’s bedside.

What we develop

Full-stack engineering, under one roof

Every discipline needed to build a modern ultrasound system — coordinated by one team so architecture, electronics and software stay in sync.

01

Industrial design

Product form, ergonomics, enclosures and user experience — designed to feel premium and clinical while remaining practical to manufacture and service.

02

Electronics & embedded systems

Schematic and PCB design, analog front ends, power, and embedded firmware for reliable, medical-grade hardware.

03

Ultrasound system architecture

End-to-end system design — from transducer interface and acquisition through processing pipeline to display and connectivity.

04

FPGA & parallel beamformer development

High-performance parallel beamforming on FPGA for high channel counts and frame rates — the computational heart of advanced imaging.

05

AI-assisted imaging software

Image enhancement, automated measurement and clinical-assist features that make each scan faster, clearer and more consistent.

06

Turnkey product development

Complete programs for medical device companies — one accountable partner from first requirement to production-ready product.

Industrial design

From first sketch to a product ready to manufacture

We take a device from initial sketches and ergonomic studies through detailed CAD and enclosure engineering, into functional prototypes, and on to volume manufacturing — handled end to end by experienced product engineers, at a competitive and transparent cost for medical-device programs.

  • Sketch → CAD → prototype → production

One team owns the product's form from the first concept through to the manufacturing line.

  • Designed for clinic and factory

Ergonomics, enclosures and user experience that feel premium and clinical, and stay practical to build and service.

  • Experienced engineers, competitive cost

Senior product engineers delivering a high standard at a cost that works for real device budgets.

Prototyping & low-volume production

In-house SLA, SLS and CNC — prototypes that look and feel like the finished product

Our mechanical and industrial-design group runs SLA and SLS 3D printing alongside CNC machining in-house. We move from CAD to accurate, functional parts and short, low-volume production runs — which keeps high-mix, low-quantity builds cost-effective for high-tech companies. Parts are finished and delivered in the exact color your brand specifies, matched to your color code.

  • SLA & SLS 3D printing

Fine-detail, functional prototypes in the materials your design needs.

  • CNC machining

Precision metal and plastic parts, tooling and fixtures.

  • Cost-effective low volume

Short, high-mix runs that make small quantities economical to produce.

  • Color-matched delivery

Parts finished to your exact brand color code, ready to assemble.

Electronics

Ultrasound beamformer boards — FPGA and parallel processing

Our electronics team designs the ultrasound beamformer boards at the heart of a system: FPGA-based, with parallel receive processing for high channel counts and frame rates. We design, manufacture and supply these boards to our customers — and prototype quickly when a design needs to be proven in hardware first.

  • FPGA beamformer boards

Parallel receive processing for the channel counts and frame rates advanced imaging demands.

  • Full electronics stack

Schematic, PCB, analog front ends, power and firmware — engineered in-house.

  • Design, build and supply

We manufacture and deliver production boards to our customers, not just designs.

  • Fast hardware prototyping

Working boards to validate a design before committing to volume.

How we work

From concept to production

A structured development path that keeps engineering, quality and manufacturing aligned at every stage.

STEP 01

Research

Understanding the clinical need, the technical constraints and the state of the art before a line of design is drawn.

STEP 02

Concept

Turning the need into concepts and requirements — what the product must do, and the trade-offs that will define it.

STEP 03

Architecture

System architecture across acoustics, electronics, FPGA, software and mechanics — the blueprint everything else follows.

STEP 04

Prototype

Industrial design, electronics, firmware and software built into working prototypes that prove the concept in hardware.

STEP 05

Verification

Integration, imaging tuning, testing and design verification — confirming the product does what it was specified to do.

STEP 06

Manufacturing

Design for manufacturing, pilot builds, testing and calibration, and the transfer into production.

STEP 07

Regulatory SupportRoadmap

Engineering support toward regulatory requirements. Formal ISO 13485 and FDA / MDR submission capabilities are part of our roadmap — see our roadmap.

STEP 08

Commercialization

Supporting the transition to market and the product's ongoing lifecycle — because our partnership doesn't end at launch.

Why partner with ALEVA

The imaging expertise most vendors outsource, we do in-house

Ultrasound is uniquely demanding: the acoustic front end, high-speed acquisition, beamforming and imaging software all have to work as one. ALEVA develops these together, which is where real image quality is won or lost.

  • Deep ultrasound specialization

Beamforming, transducers and imaging pipelines are our core, not a side capability.

  • Modern, AI-driven engineering

Experienced hardware engineering combined with current AI and software methods.

  • One partner, full accountability

Fewer handoffs, clearer ownership, and a direct line from design to production.
